DUTIES:
In this position, you will serve with the US Army Geospatial Center (AGC), Geospatial Systems Directorate, Imagery Systems Branch, in Alexandria, VA. You will serve as team member assisting with developing and fielding Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) software and hardware systems based on DoD Acquisition policies utilizing the application of principles and techniques from remote sensing, imagery analysis, and geographic information systems (GIS); find innovative ways to generate and disseminate varied GEOINT products on an ever changing global network using automated cartography, remote sensing extraction techniques and other relevant technologies. The purpose of the work is to identify and employ the most advanced and affordable tools or techniques and methods for the analysis, display, integration and dissemination of GEOINT data to address long-term Army and DOD objectives. The position requires knowledge and experience related to imagery analysis, mathematics, and the geospatial sciences, with knowledge of GIS applications, GEOINT standards, spatial database design and development, service oriented architectures and network-centric enterprise services as well as the latest in workstation and server hardware technologies. Detailed knowledge of geographic information systems, digital mapping, computers and computer networks, remote sensing and network data distribution is required to formulate interdisciplinary developmental strategies.
