Good Morning,

I would like to introduce myself as a representative of the AASHTO “GIS for Transportation” Symposium Planning Committee. I am also GIS Program Manager at Federal Railroad Administration.  I would like to encourage GIS students, undergraduate or graduate, with an emphasis on transportation to submit their research to the GIS-T Symposium’s Student Paper Contest.

The contest is designed to encourage university students to develop solutions to current GIS-T issues. Contestants will be judged on their ability to develop and document useful, original research based on GIS-T issues and to relay their research results in a complete, clear, and well-referenced paper.  The winner will receive $100, travel expenses, 3 nights hotel, and registration to the 2014 GIS-T conference where he or she will present their papers at the 2014 GIS-T symposium.  Please see below more information.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,
Raquel Hunt
