Alumnus Evan Klauda (B.S. 2011) and Michael McKinley will host an information session for their company, TerraSim, on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in Walker 319. Along with current job opportunities and information about their company, there will be free pizza and soda for those who attend.

Here's what they're looking for:
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong academic background preparing geospatial data for analysis and visualization. The successful applicant will become an expert in our TerraTools(R) and Source Data Preparation software suites. You will build complex 3D visualizations for marketing and testing purposes. As part of the software development process, your duties will include working with TerraSim software engineers to design new products, test software, and write documentation. You will also provide training and daily customer support to our expanding customer base. You will have opportunities to demonstrate our products at international trade shows and conferences. The following are also integral to this position:

 * Interest and talent in large-scale geodata organization and management.
 * Excellent academic preparation in GIS, geography, remote sensing, and related fields.
 * Excellent writing and communication skills, including technical documentation and oral presentations.
 * Independent research or internship experience.
 * Experience using ESRI and/or GlobalMapper software for significant projects.
 * Experience and aptitude for scripting languages (such as Tcl, Perl, Python).
