Altavian Geospatial Analyst Intern Description
This is a great opportunity to step foot into the world of Unmanned Aerial Systems, photogrammetry and remote sensing technologies. Altavian currently has a Geospatial Analyst 12-Week Internship available. Qualified applicants who successfully complete the program may have the opportunity to convert to a full time position.

Citizenship Requirements
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15
Desired (but not Required) Certifications and Licenses
· Licensed State of Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or State of Florida Surveyor-In-Training (SIT)
· GIS Professional (GIS Certification Institute)
· Any ASPRS Certification Associated with Photogrammetry or Remote Sensing
· Any other relevant GIS or Remote Sensing Certifications
Desired (but not required) Educational Background
· Masters in Geomatics, Geography, Remote Sensing or GIS
Desired Skillsets
· Self-starter / able to work with minimal supervision
· Experience in:
o GIS, Photogrammetry and/or remote sensing
o Working with ESRI ArcGIS
o Post-processing orthoimagery
o NDVI Analysis
o RTK GPS
Duties and Responsibilities
· Will be responsible for following and amending documented workflows for post-processing UAV data using various software packages
· Will be responsible for assessing and validating positional accuracy of data using ground control points and performing RMSE calculations
· Will need to be able to upload orthoimagery into ArcServer and also perform NDVI analysis and perform spectral adjustments to RGB, CIR and NDVI imagery
· Responsible for developing procedures for laying out ground control points (GCPs) using RTK GPS antennas
