JOB TITLE: Research Assistant (wage payroll)

DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
University Libraries Access Services department is looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic wage payroll undergraduate or graduate student to work independently on a data visualization project examining the movement of books among 19 campus libraries. Aggregate date-stamped data since September 2014 has been collected already by the Libraries for use in the project, such as book title, call number, home library location and current library location. The successful candidate should have the creative ability to analyze and present this data visually. Anticipated outcome of the project is a visualization of temporal and geographical data prototype. Required Qualifications: Working knowledge of ArcGIS, statistical analysis, and visualization of temporal and geographical data.

WORK DAYS/WORK HOURS: Hours are flexible, but should average 10 -15 hours per week. Work is independent and can be accomplished mostly outside of the library. Project should be completed by May, 2016.
