This may be of interest to some of you -- Internships at Idaho National Lab:
Rob Edsall (PhD, 2001 here), who is currently a Geospatial Research and Development Scientist there, emailed that they are looking for intern applications and would be particularly interested in applicants from Geography/GeoVISTA. Here are a few details.
The first link is to a "life at INL and in Idaho Falls" video. It features a little slice of the work Rob's group does in the "geospatial" realm three (look for the map and the word "visualization" in the background!).

Important details include that they pay a wage, a housing stipend, and travel to/from the home university.
