USGS is posting a Recent Graduate announcement to USAJobs  Students that have graduated within the last two years (at any level - Bachelor's , Masters, Ph.D.)  are eligible for this position as are those graduating in May.  Note that this is a government position, so, U.S. citizenship is a requirement.  Location is either Rolla, MO or Lakewood (Denver metro), CO.  This is one of  several Recent Graduate positions the USGS will be posting in the coming weeks through USA Jobs.  Please pass along to interested students.  If anyone has questions, let me know.

NGTOC has a vacancy announcement for a Cartographer Recent Graduate, GS-1370-07/09/11 position.  This position will be located under the Office of Innovation and the duty station is either Rolla, MO or Lakewood, CO

The position will open Monday 3/5/18 and close on Monday 3/19/18.  The position is open to All Citizens that qualify for Recent Graduate appointments.

As a Cartographer within NGTOC, some of the specific duties will include:
Integrating hydrographic data with high resolution elevation information created as part of the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) to enable modeling of phenomena such as flood events, drought, contaminant transport, and many other applications.
Analyzing software and database systems and developing recommendations as appropriate for technical modifications.
Analyzing geospatial products with the object of improving consistency between products and delivery mechanisms in different data themes.
Estimating the costs associated with new product development, including contracting for data acquisition.
