"I’m currently a Task Monitor for Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Intl. Safeguards Project Office, which manages requests from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on behalf of the U.S. government. The IAEA is a United Nations related organization based in Vienna, Austria focused on the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology, and also carries out verification activities to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons.

I’m seeking candidates to carry out a 2-3 year assignment in Vienna in the IAEA’s Department of Safeguards assisting with the analysis and evaluation of satellite imagery supporting their nuclear verification mandate. This position is being funded through the U.S. State Department ad is available to U.S. citizens under the age of 33. Interested candidates should have at least the following:

Bachelor’s degree in remote sensing, geography, IT or a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in imagery and geospatial analysis, including experience working with GIS software, data and analysis. (relevant Masters degrees are counting in lieu of experience)
Experience with image processing software and techniques with an emphasis on the use electronic light table (ELT) capabilities.
Experience in information collection, processing and analytical techniques, including preparing reports and communications on technical subjects.
