EPA Geospatial Analyst
The EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is searching for a Geospatial Analyst with the Office of Research and Development at the EPA facility in Research Triangle Park, NC. The Analyst will be part of a research team in the Sustainable Healthy Community Vector Mitigation project. The job is expected to begin December 2016.
· Full time, $27.72/hour
· Must have a Master’s degree in geospatial science, geography, landscape ecology, environmental science, atmospheric science, geoscience, or a related field
· Must have experience in programming scripting languages, geospatial data compilation and analysis, remote sensing and image processing, and ENVI, GeniePro, and/or eCognition software
· Will perform tasks such as creating metadata and fact sheets, processing GIS data layers, performing analysis of land cover maps, reviewing literature, and writing reports
